Some of the projects here are teamwork and Arduino based. I can either cooperate with people with diverse culture and education backgrounds or acquire knowledge of running independent project.

Installation

"MAESTRO" is an installation of five pipes, placed on a concrete-like 'stage'. Each blue pipe represents one element/section of Beethoven's 5th symphony while the green pipes are representing instruments that are not in the original composition, such as drums. All pipes have red valves on them to adjust the volume. This enables people to create their own version of the symphony by adjusting the volume for each element. It was designed with the intention of a collaborative way to experience classical music.

T I M E” mainly focuses on the Lab method which is simultaneously integrated into a small part of social science based field study. We use real-time prototype and video prototype alternately to research embodied interaction about time.

As the old Chinese saying” time went by as the flowing water”. Video uses the opposite technique to expound flowed time concept. The liquid ink triggered when the participants stood in front of the screen. When they left the webcam area, all inks effected flowed away with them. The ink effects would come back when the participants stood in the detect area again.

Shake Me

Shake me ” is a project that makes an interactionbetween the users and sensors. Through the physical touching and shaking movement of the lego cube, the user can enjoy the different view through the projector. There is a 3 axis accelerator and Ardunio board and webcam inside the cube.

The views of “Shake me!” are based on the concept of kaleidoscope, but it is not restricted by the format of mirror reflection. Through the rotating 6 window view, users can choose one of the 3 models per shaking movement. Basically there are three models of views.

One is the webcam view. With this view users can have a real time interaction through the webcam in the lego cube.  During this period, computer will automatically record the 30 seconds movie if there is no physical touching and shaking movement happened. If the

Walking in Istanbul” is one of series research works among “Walking Around the World“. Under the support of local participants, the game helps us to use a brank new view to explore amazing unknown parts of Istanbul. Ethnography and special geography create this  fascinated city with multi-culture environment.

movements trigger the switch, the view will change into another models and the movie will stop recording.

These movies will be randomly presented continuously in the second form of view. In this model users can see the video records of the former users. The third view is carton pattern, which simulates the effects of kaleidoscopes.
